Intrathecal baclofen pump

Spastic cerebral palsy.

Patient Data

Age: 12 years
Gender: Male

Located in the right iliac fossa is a round radio-opaque device with a catheter that extends to the posterior soft tissues and then extends into the spinal canal.  This is a baclofen pump and is used in patients with cerebral palsy to reduce muscle spasms that they suffer.
