Abdominal aortic aneurysm

Pulsatile abdominal mass.

Patient Data

Age: 60
Gender: Male

CT shows a infrarenal aorta dilated and elongated aneurysmal appearance. There is a lumen filled with contrast and mural thrombus. No free fluid or intra-abdominal collection is observed.

Note of an incidental hiatus hernia and prostatomegaly. 

Case Discussion

Abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) are most commonly from atherosclerotic disease.
