Sperm cell granuloma

Sperm cell granuloma, also termed epididymitis nodosa, is a benign lesion that can occur in the scrotum. They can particularly occur in those with a prior vasectomy (occurs after vasectomy in up to 40% of patients 2).

It is considered a form of chronic epididymitis which occurs secondary to inflammation, trauma, and/or a vasectomy. A granulomatous reaction forms secondary to extravasated sperm cells

It can appear as a well-circumscribed heterogeneous mass and is are commonly found at the epididymis or the ends of the divided ductus deferens.
